Frank A. Whelan, Esq., attended The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where he earned a BA in History and had a minor in Chemistry. His education continued at St. John's University School of Law where a JD was conferred. Mr. Whelan is admitted to practice in New York State as well as in Federal Court � Eastern and Southern Districts for the United States District Courts. Mr. Whelan has over 30 years of trial/legal experience.
Mr. Whelan brings his trial skills to the firm following his time as a partner with Mintzer, Sarowitz, Zeris, Ledva & Meyers, LLP as a civil defense and counsel defense, and Buckheit & Whelan, P.C. where he was responsible for both civil litigations and criminal defense cases. Mr. Whelan has been an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York where he handled major felony offenses including homicides and sexual related offenses, and civilly as a lead/senior trial attorney for Nationwide and The Scottsdale Insurance Companies. He handled serious exposure cases including labor law, premises and automobile accident defenses in State and Federal Courts and served as the lead attorney for the Long Island office.
Mr. Whelan lectured insurance companies on topics that included trial advocacy, coverage issues and exposure potentials. The emphasis of his practice was on NY Labor Law construction site accidents.
